locational damage does similar things, but in much more complex way ;))

This detect request is a little bit different. Recently, I've had issues with the Ebony Blade that I've confirmed with the console:

Among these mods, which one even touches the Ebony Blade? And if this glitch was something that was not caused by a mod, then what is the origin, and is there a fix (even a hot fix)?

DA08EbonyBladeTrackingScript is not the only (not even the main) quest script for this quest... first of all try to check in what stage the quest DA08 actually is...

 

"sqv DA08" or "sqs DA08"

 

-> if the stage is not 80 (it will be probably 60).. then try console command "startscene 0010FAF2" (try repeat until you'll hear the final congratulation from Mephala)... and if it won't help, then try "setstage DA08 80"... otherwise, based on only the info provided by you is really hard to tell what could cause this bug...

Sorry to ask for many mods but there are things i must provide, I have a problem with Morksomm Estate, it's a very nice home mod, but it's a constant CTD and I don't get to solve the problem

 

Is there any multiple adoption home mod that adds a nice house to dawnstar besides this one?

I just checked to be sure and apparently there is no message or item in journal for completing the quest objective "restoring the blade to its full glory"...

Quest stage 80 http://uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:The_Whispering_Door says "I have restored Mephala's Ebony Blade to its full potential." and that will update The Whispering Door journal entry to that sentence, although by that time, the quest is already "complete", given that the quest is moved into the Completed Quests section when you get the sword, rather than when you fully empower it. However, yes, for some reason, my current quest stage says 60, rather than 80. I managed to get the quest to stage 80 by doing "startscene 10faf2" a total of 6 times. Regardless, thank you kindly for the advice. I only hope that I don't have to do it every time a new character does this quest.

the sword upgrades are done through its own perk and the only thing that it depends on is the number of killed friends stored in the script "DA08EbonyBladeTrackingScript" (variable "FriendsKilled")... and your says "FriendsKilled=10" - that is maximum, which means the sword is already fully restored... :wink:

Yes, but without doing "startscene 10faf2", I wasn't getting the actual quest update (journal and Mephala congratulation) for some weird reason. I did notice that the health absorption effect was increasing, though.
