m0ds1984
In my latest mod I have some NPC's wandering around using AI packages to do some things at a specific location. But when you fast travel away, they are with you at the fast travel location, and I can't figure out why. Sometimes it's all of them, sometimes one or two of them. At first I thought, it depends on what part of their AI schedule they're at determining which follow and which don't, but that's just a line of enquiry for now. I've set their "Persist Location" to the place they're meant to be. Their AI packages, pretty sure, tell them to stick to near their Editor location (where they're placed in the cell I guess).. I have not given them any follower script or anything. Should I be adding a trait, keyword or AI to tell them NOT to leave their location? Presumably, it's something to do with the Actor box (where you can design traits, stats etc) but can't figure out what I've done wrong. I did create a follower once, and they followed me when I fast travelled, but these NPC's were not designed like that. They don't "follow" you per se, meaning a typical follower actually walks around with you, wherever you go, these guys do not. It's just Fast Travel for some reason... Other people are experiencing it with my mod so it must be a setting in there rather than a mod conflict, although I don't remember having this issue before -- but this is the first time I've used AI packages. If anyone has any ideas or leads, please let me know! Your help is appreciated. Edited September 17, 2016 by m0ds1984
BlahBlahDEEBlahBlah
Did you create new ai packages or reuse? In the ai packages you did use, what's the status of "treat as follower" on the "flags" tab? Edit: Whoops, looked it up and it's actually "treat as player follower"...though I'm sure you would have found it anyway. ;-)

Thanks dude! And now you know how to make an Army of Followers mod. ;-) Had been tempted to do this on purpose with the Green Army, back when it was going to be less openworld and more 'interior to interior' progression. Kind of an Overlord'y 'hard mode' feel to it.By design, they would not have respawned which would have made it important to protect them so that you'd have enough to get through the final battles.
