My modding venture..

So at this point of time I am in the process of installing mods that I'd like to use using NMM and as opposed to previous attempt where I kinda just half-assed clicked whatever mod I wanted and downloaded; I now instead read thorougly of each mod to minimize the risk of game instability - As last time I tried to play everything kinda just f***ed up and I ended up crashing a f*#@ton when I got to the Strip.

I will be updating this thread as I go along with mod installation and I humbly thank anyone that might make this process a bit easier for me (-:

So, first off - I am now looking at EBT =

I noticed that it doesn't say anything about NMM - Does this mod still work with NMM or am I gonna have to DL FMM instead?

EVE can be installed via NMM.... i use it with NMM at least. by the way some advice on installing; open up either a new word document (or another program with similar properties like notepad whatever you prefer) and as you install mods list them in the order you install and for multi-option mods list the choices you made. do this in five mod 'blocks' after every 5 mods run LOOT then run the game. once the game fails to run or crashes go through the last five you installed starting at the last one and uninstall and attempt to run the game for each until the problem is found. the best part about this is if you are forced to start over you know exactly what to do to get your old game back... though you may want a new game still.

it helps a lot. also in the future if you decide to come back to it you have it saved.

Well the crashing issue I had before was in the form of: I would go someplace, trough a gate whatever into a new area - Once I was done there, I would go trough one more - And the third area I would "enter" the loading circle would just keep spinning and never stop. I did have just outright crashes too.

Thanks for the advice though, I'll post here again in a bit.

You've had good advice so far, but I'd like to suggest you read the wiki article "FNV General Mod Use Advice". It pulls together the "lessons learned" by the community over the last six years, by linking the various articles and tips you would have to know about to search out. It's intended to record those things people sometimes forget to mention before you have problems, like "don't use the game's built-in 'auto-save' feature", and the much more limited "mod cap". If you follow all that advice you will have a trouble-free game.

ILM eh?... huh, thats a shame - I really like it :/ Oh well

Uh also, you guys know about that thing when you turn Vsync off and your game becomes like way too f***ing fast, like characters (including yourself) move way too fast, swings weapons way too fast etc

I know I fixed the problem somehow with the ini I believe couple years ago but I have no idea what the fix might've been, I've searched but really have no idea what to look for...

Closest I can think of would be something to do with FPS clamp but I'm probably wrong.
