The Courier *Mod Idea*

So, I'm not too well versed in the construction kit. I had this idea, something that I have always felt needed to have its place within the fallout games. I was wondering how feasible a radiant delivery quest where you have to deliver postal messages between settlements, towns, or random npc's. Personally, I've always found this idea to be attractive. It's fun, and keeps you moving place to place, which would be fulfilling on a survival character.

Horses would be cool, but I feel that's a little too much. Generally, I would bust a nut if someone managed to make a whole system out of it, where you can build a post office in your settlements, and have to manage them, assign couriers and what not. That would be fantastic.

What do you guys think?

So, I have been putting a lot of thought into this over the past day. I am thinking of reaching outside of my comfort zone and possibly start learning how to use the construction kit. Now, I can't do a whole lot starting out. I have experience with the morrowind ck, oblivion ck, Skyrim ck, and the GECK for FO3. Really simplistic stuff though. I don't really have any knowledge towards scripting. Is there anyone that would be willing to endure a little bit of pain with me, trying to carve something out?

If anyone is interested in setting up a quest line concerning the revitalization of the mail network in Boston; I would love to write the story and dialogue.

This idea was discussed in more detail a few months back, I remember because I was a small part in that conversation too. If you are thinking of moving forward with your idea, it might be best to check out what is already available in the Mod called.... Northland Diggers. There isn't any sort of quest involved with it but there is a Mailbox/mail service addition to the Mod.
