Magnivore
As the title (and description) states, I would like to list off a couple ideas I have for mods to the lovely world of Skyrim. -First, a cooldown timer. I know I've said this before, and I'm sure it's been posted before, but some indication of cooldowns on the main HUD would be great. If it were me developing the mod, I would go about making a different icon for each type of cooldown, instead of making certain things 'umbrella' grouped, such as 'conjuration cooldowns look like THIS,' where instead I would have a different picture for each individual thing. -Some more things to break/disenchant. I know I would like to have the double backstab ability or better prices. Yes, better prices can break the game a bit, but I think people (keeping it within the realm of actually doable if this were all real) doing the Alchemy<-->Enchanting => Smithing thing was pretty broken. Not TERRIBLY, but you get my point as to what I mean as far as things you can do with gear. -Respawn-able things. I don't see why plants won't respawn after a week or so, especially in a thriving environment. That, and I think dungeons/caves should be refilled after so long too. There's always mercs and bandits out there, and they're always looking for a place to settle down. Why not have them occupy the previously emptied caverns so that more deaths can be dealt and more loot be gotten. Quests could always be done too, but I believe this was done in Fallout 3, so why not here as well. *****Now for the rambling***** I would love to know what programs you fine modders use for doing these sort of things. I would imagine PhotoShop or maybe 3D Max for textures, possibly Notepad for editing statistics, but passed that I don't know how you go about converting the files to make them readable by Skyrim, unless it's a simple 'save as .blah' when you finish. I might not know where to put them either in some cases, but Google and sticking my nose in the folders should prove helpful. I really don't know the first thing about modding though; unless spawning objects or putting in scripts for binds count, in which case my knowledge pool is very limited. Feedback, and any help, would be greatly appreciated. Edited December 5, 2011 by Magnivore

happy04
The only thing with a cooldown is shouting, and that already has a cooldown indicator, the blue tint on your compass. There are disenchanting and breakdown mods, but I can see your point, i'd like to be able to remove enchantments from items and replace them without destroying the item in the process (i love crafting my own godly gear) Plants and caves already respawn. Perhaps you need to spend more time questing, or you can change the timescale in the skyrimprefs file to your own preference. 20 is normal skyrim time 1 is real life time, maybe you'd prefer 40 or 100 so time passes faster so respawns happen faster.
