I'm a Pro Singer and Ive made songs.. need New Bard

Hello fellow Skyrim enthusiasts, I am a pro singer and have actually written a couple decent tunes that sound like they're written on a lute and they're all about Skyrim. Songs about hiding your gold and fighting dragons etc... I liked the bard at the Inn but I didn't love him. Let's give the citizens of Skyrim a real musician. I've got songs to provide, I'm also willing to provide dialogue. I need someone to match the lips, give me a character and match the hands to the chords. Anybody down to upgrade the entertainment?

a pro singer? how does one become a pro singer?

I suppose using the word "pro" does sound a bit pretentious. How about I'm just a musician who wants to give Skyrim a better bard and I'm looking for help. I'll post one of the songs very soon, I'm almost done with it (working on it now)

I look forward to hearing it.

I'd suggest uploading your songs to the nexus, ideally in .xwm format, labeled appropriately as a non-playable modder's resource. Tick the appropriate boxes to maintain as much creative control as you want to maintain, and make sure to upload a picture of some kind (a music note or something, doesn't really matter what) so that it displays on the list of new uploads on the Nexus.

Hm, depending on the songs this correlates nicely with an idea I've had - although one that I guess would require the creation kit. When listening to one of the bards singing about the dragonborn, I had to think of 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail'. What if someone was to make a mod with a bard companion that you can have in addition to your other ones and who does not fight, but only sing, all the time. You could give him different "stations", one of which are mocking songs as Sir Robin's in Holy Grail, another could be solely songs to praise the dragonborn, such as this one song that is already included in the game. I guess that variation would be key, but I'd be willing to write/sing some songs myself (I'm also a pretty good singer and have written some lyrics in my time. Only problem: Currently I don't really have access to proper recording equipment. Though I may be able to do something about that). I think it could be quite funny and also give some more heroic flair. The only potential problem would be that it might start going on people's nerves after a while - variation is important. One might actually even add radio stations as in Fallout 3/NV, though this would have course kill the flair a bit. Perhaps explain it by the magical tongue of the bard ;). Or one could add mock versions of other songs to make them about the dragon born - though this could mean copyright problems. What do you people think?

Tankard of AleOK so I have a full time job but I managed to finish 4 songs in only a day. Well, 3 of them are 80% done, I have one 100% done and I'd like to share that with you guys. I wanted the song to have a very medeival feel while keeping in mind that a Bard with only a basic lute and his voice would be writing this song. Also, I wanted it to be about the culture of Skyrim so it is called "Tankard of Ale." Please let me know what you think of the song. Also, sorry for the upload site - it's the first one I googled and you have to wait 30 seconds and do a capcha. Here it is.... http://www.filefactory.com/file/cf8f45a/n/Tankard_of_Ale.mp3

Also, to the post above - I'm not sure how to convert it to that format or upload it to nexus but I'll figure that out tomorrow after work. To the OTHER post above, thats really funny that you thought of Monty Python because I had the very same idea... maybe to have a couple other musicians with this bard character to add background vocals and maybe play the violin. They would have the option of following the hero around playing songs like "Brave, brave, brave, brave sir Robin." I could see doing a few hero songs like that. Anyway, let me know what you think of this first song for the character

Seriously in need of a pop filter and hiss removal. Hiss removal is pretty easy to edit out since it's a constant background noise that software can identify and compensate for, but getting the pops out is something that should be happening before the sound is ever saved on your hard disk. The singing and playing itself is solid, but it's very obviously played into a microphone. Getting studio quality sound without a studio is something of an art form in itself.
