I can show you just the data the two mods ; so far identified that drew in other mods not in direct conflicted areas but may have issues that effect this problem. it's kinda like a stair case. but, I will separate my own mods from the line up so your not confused...too much.

you know where the problem starts at in the stage so we can skip all of that, but it IS a Bethesda game. We know what is to be expected.

The embassy is the location so I'll ask; did you scavenge or LOOT the place? you might have scooped up an object placed in there that will not be allowed to go through the trigger. a mesh or texture messed up that won't do anything unless you have placed it in inventory, a known problem with these games.

you have mentioned another game that so far is not exhibiting the issue?

Is that correct?

Not quite, it was a slightly earlier save on the same character, I travelled to the exterior cell that contains the exit from the Reeking Cave, and had no issues, which is why I don't believe the second crash is the result of a dirty cell.

I had picked up a small amount of loot but they were all vanilla objects - a few soul gems from ThalmorEmbassy01 and the items in the display case in Elenwen's Office.

use this save and proceed and abstain from looting things, see if a repeat of conditions occur?

when standing at the trigger ,as close as possible, open inventory and start trowing out every thing ...what your doing is dumping data that might also trigger the event. If none of that causes this to CTD, and your now empty? walking thru the trigger no longer causes a CTD, then the objects were at fault. but, if it still does this? It can be the armor your have on or weapon you have. IF none of that results in a ctd? it is that trigger directly that is the cause, what ever references IT is the culprit.
