Vagrant0
For the first one... Probably not much on its own since most software companies need people who can work with multiple languages (if you were thinking spoken languages you are in trouble). For the second one... PC repair for GeekSquad.In-house Tech support for smaller companies (if you extend yourself to learning other systems on the side and get REALLY lucky). You really can't expect much from only 22 credit hours of school. It's a good start but not really enough to do anything with career wise. This would be a better start. Or this. As a base for most computer-related fields and with picking electives related to a specific group of skills (programming verses support). And THEN you start adding certifications for programming languages if you wanted to get into programming, OR adding certifications for hardware/software networking systems after you've finished that base. Yes, it's lots of school, and I know that is frightening as hell coming out of highschool. But I've been there. Half-assing it just doesn't get you anywhere. Heck, full-assing it doesn't necessarily get you anywhere either, but it gives you a better chance of getting somewhere better. Oh, and about languages/systems... Make sure you do research about each one. Don't look at just current needs (mostly corporate) but future ones as well.
SavageArtistry
It might be better to consult a career counselor versus random forum people. One thing I know from my own experience is that majoring in studies involving general computer repair, programming or graphics will most likely not get you a good job out of college. (As I said, general studies. For people who can afford to do a lot of specialty studies it may be different.) I went into graphic design and my husband was a repair technician and we both found ourselves out of work when the economy crashed. Go into a field that will be needed no matter what's going on or not going on. It will take research on your part to find something that will appeal to you and that also has a future as far as job demand, but believe me it's worth it. Not a day goes by that I don't wish I'd gotten my degree in a different field.
