Is there a thread where people new to modding can go, to get the "essential" mods? I'm talking about the mods that everyone uses, like textures. I did see the textures category, but there seemed to be hundreds, and I'm worried that if I install one, the other wouldn't work and etc. There seems to be thousands, so I find it hard to sort through all of them.

I do not think there is a specific set of mods that everyone uses, people just use whatever best suites their gaming style and personality.

I started off with:

Better Bodies

Cosmetic Compilation

Illumination Within(make sure to get the new one)

 

Oh, and read descriptions on the files before downloading them, most of them tend to list bugs and stuff

 

But yeah i think those are some must haves well with the exception Illumination Within, but that one makes night time in the city more realistic for me
