As I recall, Deadly Reflex also gives you the Deadly Reflex Reset Hourglass, which is not what it is called in-game. Clicking that should bring you to a menu of sorts that you can use to reset the keys it uses. Of course, I'm not completely certain about how it works, as I've never had to use it.

I'm also having similar Problems, except, It will not allow me to Use the Hourglass, in fact, i started a new Profile so that i could just set the keys and two problems occured. well three maybe, idk.

1. I didnt have hands. I could wield Things, and stuff liek that, but not animation where my Hands are Concerened. I.E. -- Invisible Hands.

2. Nothing for Deadly Reflex is even showing up.

3. Deadly Reflex now does not show up in any of my Profiles and i no longer have the "Deadly Reflex Reset" Hourglass.

4. I can no longer load into that new file that i previously mentioned without Oblivion Crashing.

Oh, well i guess that's 4 Problems... anyways, if you could help, then much would be apreciated!

Okay so i Figured out what i wa s doing wrong for not being able too see the Hourglass (and Deadly Reflex not working ) but i still cannot use the Hourglass.

Again please Help.

You folks really need to start reading the ReadMe files. Deadly Reflex 6 does not have a configuration menu in-game, it uses an INI file to configure the keys. The Reset item works just fine, it resets the keys to their default values in the INI. You don't see anything happen in-game other than a slight pause, but that's how it's intended to work. There is no menu to configure the keys with DR 6. DR 5 however uses an in-game menu.

People also need to realize what a BETA is and treat it accordingly. You need to read the Official Release and Bug Report Thread to see if your issue has already been covered, which it has, and if not then you report it. This way the author actually sees the report and can address the issue.

I just typed up another response to a Deadly Reflex 6 BETA issue so I'm just going to copy paste it here. I'm tired of typing the same thing over and over, and over, and over...

Yeah. You installed an animation replacer, Deadly Reflex 6. Deadly Reflex 6 replaces the first person animations with 3rd person animations to give an immersive first person view, and it works really well. There are some clipping issues in certain situations, and yes archery is one of them. However I have DR 6 installed and my archery is not near that bad and is still very usable and actually I'm so used to the DR 6 style of 1st person now I could never go back to vanilla.

There are some settings you can adjust in the Oblivion.ini to help with these clipping issues but even at default I never had it clip as badly as what your shots are showing. Read the DR 6 ReadMe and then you should also read the Official Release and Bug Report Thread. Remember, DR 6 is still a BETA. It's amazing how many people don't seem to quite understand what a BETA release is. When you download and use BETA releases and have strange issues the first place you should look is the BETA thread. I can assure you this and many other issues you'll run across have already been documented, and in some cases have fixes.

If you're going to use a BETA be ready for bugs, visual anomalies, crashes, etc... Then you need to report them in the proper thread so the author of the mod can address such issues. These issues go unseen when every Joe Blow makes a random thread across the vast internets about their problem. That's why there is a dedicated thread that the author keeps an eye on and mentions in the ReadMe.

To anyone still interested in this (despite Skyrim releasing next month), I can't quite remember exactly what part of this is supposed to work (a.k.a. this worked for me when I tried it a few minutes before this post, but the steps might not need to be in the order I put them in; and step 3 and 4 might be able to be mixed or individually omitted): but if you set everything up correctly in the INI file when putting Deadly Reflex 6 in, the solution should be something similar to the following:

1. Load Oblivion without OBSE, turning off all Deadly Reflex Mods (anything directly functioning as Deadly Reflex, not necessary to turn off the supporting mods) under the Data Files option in the Oblivion Launcher.

2. Open a save file with the problem character, and make a save file (I don't believe it's necessary to save over the same one you loaded).

3. Exit and check-mark (or activate otherwise) all the mods you unchecked in the first step.

4. Reload Oblivion without OBSE and load the same file and simply exit without doing anything; proceed to load Oblivion and your file with OBSE, and viola.. it should work.

As I mentioned above, 3 and 4 can be interchanged or individually omitted. When I tried these individually (because I couldn't and still can't remember where I learned this) they produced confusing effects: I got the hour glass to finally show up, but it seemed to have no function and the keys still didn't work; the hour glass and the useless menu would show up asking me to set keys, but again the keys wouldn't work; etc.

The above steps seems to be just some odd way of resetting your keys that links somehow with however you setup the INI file controls -- as talked about in the Deadly Reflex 6 Readme instructions for installation.

Hope this helps, I wish people (*cough* the second to last post above me *cough*) would read threads before posting nonsense and complaining that people don't pay attention. This stuff isn't in the DR6 Readme as far as I can tell, and I understand it can be hard to scour through forums and readme instructions to remember instructions (if there are any). Even though this is a year late, I hope this helps
