Meroviginian
Can someone list all the vaults function. I know each one had an evil experiment and would like to know from vault 1 to the last vault what each experiment was. I know the ones from the game fallout 3 and fallout nv.....is there any way to get the info of the rest?

ModelV
Not every Vault was explained. The premise of the Vaults were. They did this because 1. Its a lot of ideas to think up and wouldnt add any real content to the game and 2. They didnt want to pigeon hole themselves or the fans for future games or fanfics. Meroviginian
Hmmm......I see what your saying.... I remember someone saying that not all vaults were experiments and that some had no function at all .... Like vault 17..... I do have a question though, before the war when the USA signed the safe house project that built these vaults, the government didn't have the cash to build them. They payed for them using junk bonds and private sector funds from vault tech stock. Is it possible that the government it self didn't know of the experiments? Who's to say that different companies bought their stake in vault tech and performed their own experiments. In the project safe house bill, no where did it say anything about experiments; the vaults were to protect people from nuclear war with china. The entire safe house Project was an Enclave operation.
Meroviginian
Thanks for clearing that up....I Tried playing fallout 1 and 2 and couldn't seem to get into it. What was the reason the enclave did this though? I mean their highest priority should be to protect the pure bread Americans till they cleaned the mutant problem up with their version of fev. What is the point of doing these experiments after their world ended that endangered the last remaining pure blood Americans?
marharth
dude what The enclave existed before the war. The whole mutant thing was later on after the war. The purpose of the vaults was a scientific experiment by the shadow government of the US (known as the enclave) They were doing these tests mainly to see how well people could be in a spacecraft. The enclave knew there would be a nuclear war and they embraced that. Their goal was to colonize another planet and do mental and physical testing on humans in an enclosed environment. A lot of people dislike fo3 because it wasn't very lore friendly with fo1 and fo2. You are going to have to do some heavy research into both of the first games to fully understand it.
