PsYchotic666Joker
Ok so i'm kinda in a stump with games and not sure which to play..and really bored with Skyrim, never did finish my Dragon age 100%i did the main story twice, started awakening never finished, same with dlc's never did them all...just the few that was in-game not like golem and witch hunt those kind, etc... anyways to the point, really love dragon age: Origins ( never played da2 ) and was wondering if this community is still kicking and mods are being made ( i have downloaded quite a bit in the past, but never tried the editor myself yet )...people to chat with and etc? Codifer
I should think that there are still many old (and perhaps some new) lovers of DA Origins. It is true that there are not so many mods being created for Origins but some of the great ones are still being perfected ("Quests and Legends" comes to mind) and some are waiting for translation (for those of us who last had a German class nearly fifty years ago). I think that the all of the permutations and choices of Origins allows for many replays. I have recently been delighting in the Dwarf origin(s) and have begun to allow Zevran to live. Perhaps I will try Shale someday. In short: we are still here! Cheers
PsYchotic666Joker
That's good to hear, as for mods i don't think i'v heard of the Quests and Legends before, may have to look it up! One thing i do agree with you on is the choices and many replays there is, i myself have only played a 'good' type of player so far, yet i find evil/bad a lot of fun lol, if i remember correctly iv never really tried all companions let alone a basic 2h warrior and a ranged archer ( my last character when i played ) Thanks for the feedback :)
Codifer
I hope you found "Quests and Legends". It is a beautiful mod which adds many new areas, challenging combat, and a new companion (Valeria). QaL also adds the ability to multi-class your character and companions which adds another dimension (or six) to gameplay. Best part is that QaL does not cause problems with either vanilla play or other mods and adds yet more permutations and possibilities.... sufficient to continue to enjoy Origins until DA 3 is introduced (hoping that DA 3 will be better than DA 2). ThingTheWiz
Codifer is right - Quests and LEgends will force you to rethink your game strategy You should also try Dark times Act 1 - great storyline, good voice acting as well as a range of new companions with their own plots
Rennn
I'm downloading the Ultimate Edition right now from Steam. Before that, I played the PS3 Ultimate Edition version (at 480p, I only have an SD TV, lol), and the PC version is by far superior. So yeah, my point is the community is definitely still alive. It's currently more active on the Nexus than DA2, actually. DA2 was so shallow by comparison... I'll have to find Quests and Legends, btw.
AdamSiuda
I think its still kicking, yes. For example, im new to community, i only finished DAO once but not at 100%, so im still playing this game. Best part is, i first finished reading books of David Gaider, after that i instaled the game. Best wishes from Poland.
