Turn off adult content. It will cut that stuff in half. And to summarize the answer (as this keeps being asked for the issue of people not liking boobs) No, this will not happen. Odds are a site staff member might hop in and explain why beyond just changing your existing filters. I dont speak for them so i wont go into any fancy details beyond that.

 

A lot of us don't want to block all adult content; we just don't want to open the homepage and be bombarded by SLOOTY GIANT TITS!! A no adult content in hotfiles filter would be a godsend.

nothings broken so there is no fix possible. seriously it works the way it was intended to work.

 

 

now a possible change to make it better would probably be to have it set so adult files are not shown but just for the hot files. in other words it works the same as turning off adult files but you only remove them from the hotfiles no where else. the reason this is doable is because it already exist and wont break the hotfile pages purpose.

Wait! what about a separate hotfile section for every single category or mods one can imagine? we would have follower hot files, texture hot files, house hot files, quest mod hot files, maybe even a bad mod hot files, so the worst mods get some exposure, etc. That way we can scroll through an endless list of hot files instead of endless lists of normal files! The hotter the better!

 

Or, my other idea... sit because this is massive and might knock you down... a separate nexus site for each category of mods!! like the porn nexus, follower nexus, weapon nexus, etc. And, if we combine this with the separate nexus for skyrim special idea that comes up once in a while we will multiply those nexuses!... The more complicated the better! .... Is it starting to sound absurd enough?

We could always make every single mod hot by default, that would probably stop the "too much followers in hot files" complains.

Separate nexus for each mod would be overkill, right?

 

Just in case all the sarcastic stuff makes my point unclear: Why would you treat follower mods separately just because there are a lot and people like them? it's pointless, defeats hot files purpose and meaning. You could do the same with texture mods that have somtimes conquered the hot files or the bikini armor era that we also had . You can guess my opinion on making separate nexus for everything.

im with you Frank. the issue with the idea of 'customizing' and removing specific types of mods run into a whole wall of issues primarily the issue of it defeating the purpose of the hot files entire role.

by the way i want to clarify that i do understand why people are having the issue with the hotfiles and i am not trying to be insulting or anything. this topic has been discussed to death though on the forums and so far no one in this thread has come up with anything new.

 

i and several other long time forum lurkers have seen this a lot and i am sorry to say that there is no 'fix' for this 'issue'. as the problem isnt that anything is broken but simply taste on the users side. this makes a 'fix' hard to find.
