I AM ARDENT FOR THIS MODIFICATION! Lol, well anything really that the play can control that gives off light, such as a candle! Or the other lamp thingy you can pick up but there is no light... Of course a sort of assistant decorator is needed too to make mounted lights stay put.

I can do this... it's quite easy.

The light source would be a magic light (lasting for a very long time (x days)) glowing/flickering like a candle. It would be a spell so u can aim somewhere, cast it and voilà..

if that's not enough, I could try to make summonable ligh sources like candles.. but thats harder. ;)

^ Why not a "Magelight" type spell, but call it 'Place candle" or some such and give it like a 300,000,000 hour timer or something?

I second that. Mage light is already more or less a good option except it only allows for a single light. It would be very nice if you could use the spell to place as many lights as you wish. something like the college outside there.

Big Lol moment the other day, but was in a mine, and noticed that a torch sconce you could "activate" to remove the torch (and switch off the light) could be reactivated to replace the torch (and switch the light back on)...

So that would surely mean that the scripting for placeable lighting is already in game, and maybe all that's required is that the light source/placement have the same coding as torch sconces ...

However it might require that every cell in Skyrim would need to be updated to have a "torch" spot somewhere ...
