rgx02
Your computer is powerful enough. Mine is lower and i can run lots of mods. None of them will conflict, mainly because a few of these only change textures and the others dont change the same thing. For load order, i recommend you get Boss - mod sorter. It will place the mods in the correct places (most of the time, that is). Explaining how to install mods tale a lot of time, it will be easier if you watch these http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=42832 Edited December 7, 2011 by rgx02
ComradeDispenser
Even the super big texture pack? And does Nevada Sky work with the NCM pack?
rgx02
I dont recommend you use the large version of NMCs, that will probably be too much for you computer. The nmc textures replace only objects and the ground. Nevada Sky should work well with it.
ComradeDispenser
Okay, thanks for the help.
drkaii
I disagree. I think your computer is more than powerful enough to run the high NMC pack. It will probably stutter while you are out in the desert, which means it will freeze for a second or two once or twice every other minute, but for the graphical improvements that makes, I'd say it is worth it. Follow the tweak suggestions on the download page, as well as any other tweaks you can muster. Your card has 2GB vram, which is more than enough to handle those textures! If you got the game installed on an SSD, even better, but defrag the one it is installed on either way. Enjoy
ComradeDispenser
What's the difference between the Large and Huge packs? I don't really like stutters, but I can deal with it if it's nowhere as severe as it is in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. But I'd still prefer smooth gameplay. My SSD is really small so only the vital programs are in there, my games and everything are on a HDD. rgx02
What's the difference between the Large and Huge packs? The difference is the size of the textures. You will be able to see the details better if you're close to the object.
ComradeDispenser
Would you mind showing some comparison pictures between vanilla, large and huge for me? I have an extremely slow Internet speed (my only other option is very fast but with a 2gb dl cap so I stick with my 90kb/s) so I really only want to download one, instead of testing both the large and huge packs. drkaii
Sorry man, I only downloaded the ultra high so I can merely compare that with vanilla. But he has already done that on the download page. Check out the FO3 version, it has good comparison pictures. At 90kb/s it will take you quite a few days to download, if your lucky enough for the download to not interrupt during that time! Stick to the large for now, and once you have it, feel free to upload a .dds for me to show you a comparison of. Then go to a mate's house and get the full pack if you see enough difference to make you want it ;) I don't think you'll get much stuttering to be honest, but you definitely would not if you installed it to your SSD.
