DeathAngelS300
I want to get the game desperately but when I went onto the system requirements lab everything was good to go but my GHz thing... I have 1.3.... Is setting the game on low settings good enough? I assume it won't be. So I'm wondering of there's a mod that will help me? Any help would be hugely appreciated.Idc about graphics being the best as long as its a bit tolerable and it doesn't lag so bad it's unplayable. I'm new here by the way so forgive me if I'm doing anything wrong lol...
iXenite
Your specs would be helpful. With that said, you're probably running on integrated graphics, which Fallout 3 doesn't like very much. The "GHz" thing is your CPU. I wouldn't worry too much about that when it comes to running a game. The fact that you have no dedicated graphics card is the real problem. The requirements lab site thing told me everything else was fine? But Idk I'm pretty dumb-ish to this stuff lol...
iXenite
Okay, 2GB's of RAM is really low - and isn't really going to help you play the game. Your integrated graphics will be better (maybe) then some Intel based ones, but not really significantly. The dual core CPU is fine in Fallout 3 though, but it's probably too slow for it. Integrated graphics rely on system memory, your RAM to help aide it in processing graphical information. It shares this RAM with the system and any other things that may need it. That means your 2GB's of RAM are going to need to be used to run the OS, the game, anything else that may be running in the background and handle the graphics information your integrated graphics is incapable of doing on its own. In other words, it's really not going to be a joy to play. I would suggest saving up some money and building yourself a desktop PC. Watching videos on PC building and reading up on stuff about it will help you understand how it all works. It's really not as difficult as it seems. Something like this would be more than enough to play Fallout 3. DeathAngelS300
Well dang :( That's the thing, I never have Money. I happen to have gotten a little bit from a friend and its the only money I've had in months so like... Ugh... (Sad face) I was just hoping that cause I know it has lots of mods there could have been some to.help maybe :/ I still appreciate your help though and will keep the list for future advance if I get lucky and save up money from a couple birthdays or something maybe. I have the Razer cortex software? I'm guessing that won't help enough though :/
iXenite
It might help stop some of the background programs from eating up system resources, but I don't know how much that will help. If you already have the game you could see how well it runs on the lowest settings in 720p. Then, try it at a lower resolution than that and see what happens. Know that the framerate may be better at the start of the game than how it may be once you enter the wasteland. There is also this list of mods. https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1035245-performance-mods-list/ Edited September 25, 2016 by DaddyDirection
