Murielkai
I am using the intel plugin and there are several options for saving, which ones should I use?
RahCreations
I used Nvidias plugin and if I remember I saved all mine as DTX1 and RGB with Alpha channel. And usually that's what I've seen most other use. Not sure how much of a difference it makes. Because my first 2 mods were on a different setting and not sure how it would've made a difference. Where I saw the specific settings, was on a glow map tutorial here: http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/How_to_add_glow_maps
TrickyVein
BC7 gives you best quality but is only dx11 compatible, so people cry foul for using it in a game that supports dx11. The vanilla options are BC1, also known as DXT1 for diffuse maps and BC3/DXT5 for diffuse maps with alpha. Normal maps and spec maps are saved as BC5, with only 2 channels supported. NVIDIA's dds plugin is outdated and Bethesda suggests using Intel's to save from in photoshop.

Murielkai
If you are working on a texture from another persons mod should you choose to auto generate mip maps or use the ones in the layers?
TrickyVein
Generating them again while saving doesn't break anything.
