Need some info on elevators

There's a CK category under 'Misc' called 'Packins'. It has a TON of stuff, but things are pretty clearly labeled. A pack-in is just a clump of separate objects you can drop into the Render window, and boom, there they are. Warning: they're separate objects as soon as you drop them. Double-click on it in the Object window if you want to see a list of what's in it before you drop it.

 

IIRC, the elevator pack-in has all the stuff you need.

Elevator packins are the best! I have used a couple already, and although it gets tricky when you want to move the individual pieces after you place the packin, because they need to be carefully selected so as not to move the entire packin group as well, it is still a lot easier than rigging an elevator from scratch.

The problem is getting elevators to work in worldspaces, and I have heard others had trouble getting them to work. Please let us know if the elevator packin worked in the worldspace settlement, GreekRage. :) (assuming it is in a worldspace and not a cell)

Thanks for the pointer, made an elevator but the damned thing kept spawning inside the room on the wrong side of the doors! This solved it, cheers!

old post but im gonna ask something new...

 

The packins work ive tried one lately but it may also have something to do with power on the settlement or ownership...i dont know cause on my first attempts it wouldnt work ...it only opened the doors but never moved the elevator car.

 

Here is a new question..

HOW do i configure it to move more than one floor up ??

What determines this parameter ??
