Kender1978
I have been a gamer since the Atari but had several years off thanks to a half dozen surgeries and 2 kids. Got back into it about 8 months ago and a co worker got me hooked on fallout 4. I have been playing it on ps4 as that has been my go to platform for years. While surfing the net for tips and tricks I found all the mods available for pc. So I finished the ps4 playthrough and am now starting a different character build on pc. I am new to running mods but not to gaming in general. I have a couple mods loaded so far, one manual install (LOOT) and the other 3 in NMM. Most mods that I have seen with a manual install have decent instructions. Unfortunately the mod for the institute portal gun does not. It just says " archive contains 1 ESP and 2 BA2s". I am assuming that this goes in a standard folder that is common knowledge to those who have been at this awhile but I am lost as to what to do. Can someone fill in the blanks for me please. iXenite
I'm pretty sure you just need to click the download with manager button for that mod. If not, then just manually download the mod and extract the contents to your desktop and drag all three files into your Fallout 4 Data folder. Kender1978
I didn't see a nmm option for it but i will double check. If not i will hit the data folder. Is it ccommon that the data folder is used for these type of mods?
iXenite
The Data folder is where virtually all mods will be going. The Download with NMM button is there, so if you're signed in when you check for it, you should see it.
Kender1978
Ok so learned something new. on my phone, note 7, the nmm option isn't there (even on the desktop site)but after coming home and checking on the pc it does have a NMM option. Solved that issue. Thanks for the quick replies.

Kender1978
After doing a playthrough on the ps4, stealth sniper, where I tried to do as many missions as possible with all dlc packs I was set for a fairly quick melee build playthrough on pc. After seeing all the mods and how they change the game I can see that I will have a lot more time put into this one than the ps4. Especially with the settlement build mods like having vault 111 as a settlement, vault 9i, camping and settlement anywhere, expanded settlement borders, just to list a few.
