Cyranus
Does anyone figured how to fix the random freezes? it makes the game unplayable fo me,i have a freeze every 5 min,and it lasts 1 min.... I think it's related to sound,i have tried to change my realtek soundcard from 16 bit 44100 to 24 bit 48000,but it doesn't work. I also have tried the ENBseries patch... I have a sound card (aureon terratec pci) but its doing the same thing. I'm on windows 7 x64. Edited December 9, 2011 by Cyranus

I also thought mine was related to sound but not so sure anymore. I am using a Rampage II onboard sound card... I have tried all the normal and weird fixes but nothing has worked, including ENB, change compatibility to Win 98, re-installing, changing sound card settings, changing all graphics settings, etc Nothing has worked I am also on Windows 7 x64 which may be the issue. I am using a i7 920 oc, 6GB ram, ATI 5970 graphics card Good luck with it - I gave up trying a long time ago.

Cyranus
Thanks for the reply, Its a little reassuring to see i'm not alone... Yeah i'm also thinking it could be related to the x64 version of windows. Now it happens more frequently, when i try to quicksave or to quit the game... Cyranus
Ok,i installed razor 1911's version and its working perfectly no freezes,no crashes....except for a little ticking sound on the sound effects channel, its more noticeable with the headphones, but at least i can play the game. Smart move :) Only issue is that now I am guessing it will be hard to patch and hard to get official addons and stuff?

maboru
I can understand your frustration but pirates are pirates and pirating is the reason (given) that we all have to be victimized by these ludicrous and ineffectual DRM schemes. It's a real shame that some people who actually purchase the game are forced to pirate it too just so they can play it but I wouldn't be advertising that solution on this forum. Keep your eye on the AMD driver site for their next attempt at a solution as well as Steam for the Beth's next attempt at a patch, if you've already tried the numerous gamer work arounds that have been posted here. Yes i agree its not a very good solution but as i said this is my last resort and i 'm waiting for Bethesda to release a fix.Its still buggy anyway.
