AznMega
So I've been hitting up Google recently, searching all over the inter-webs for a Third-Person camera mod that changes the Vanilla Oblivion 3rd-person camera to something like the Gears Of War camera. To my dismay, there are only mods that change the First-Person camera to a 3rd-Person GOW camera. Having two Third-person cameras isn't a great way to play Oblivion, now is it? I don't know much about modding, but I know enough information to install mods, and troubleshoot, but I've never learned enough about modding to create my own mods. I've played around with the TES Construction Set a couple of times, but I've only found that my mods never work. But that isn't the problem here. I'm looking for a mod that changes the Third-Person camera, from having the cursor directly behind the character's head, to a camera that is "Over the shoulder." If someone could create such a mod, I would be very thankful. Bumping is against the rules. If we allow indiscriminate bumping then the first several pages of every forum would be nothing but bump bump bump. You get a strike for not reading the rules and all of your bumps removed.Bben46. ponyboy10
I would love this as well. I'd prefer to keep the 1st person camera as it is, but the 3rd person one is nearly useless except for running around through fields.
fore
A request that comes again and again. But no soultion for that. :( Except for a few ini definitions and global variables (FChase3rdPersonZUnitsPerSecond) there is nothing a mod can do. Especially no way to influence the path of the camera by script or animation.
AznMega
Ini definitions and Global Variables? Where is this "FChase3rdPersonZUnitsPerSecond" located, exactly?
fore
Ok, "FChase3rdPersonZUnitsPerSecond" is not a global variable (as in List_of_global_variables), but a setting: Settings. One other important setting is "fChase3rdPersonXYMult" which is used by a few camara mods to reduce camera movement in 3rd person (99 or 4). And there is some other setting (or global variable) which defines the standard distance between camera and head. But I don't remember the name. And that's probably as much as you can do. AznMega
I'm guessing that these settings can be changed by OBSE, correct? Well, I don't know very much about the Script Editor, so I don't think I would personally play around with these things.
fore
It's either an OBSE script. Or you you can change them most easily with the CS, in Gameplay-> Settings.
AznMega
By the way, I've checked out some of your Mods, and I want to know if you take requests. Do you do BBB conversions of custom animations?

Do you do BBB conversions of custom animations? Most of the time this is not possible, because for most "custom animations" (you mean like DMC) there is no permission to modify them. But for me Oblivion is history. I'm just waiting for the Skyrim Construction Kit...
AznMega
Ahh, how disappointing. Well, I'm looking forward to any further mods you may create. Good luck in your future endeavors.
