LadyHonor
For some reason, there is an extremely long pause between lines on a voiced character. If the conversation owner has more than one line before the player has to make a conversation choice, he pauses between at the end of one for what seems like eternity before he moves on to the next line and keeps doing it for every line until they've all been exhausted and player input is needed. I am using Audacity to record them and exporting them to the correct settings in wav format. When I go to edit the lines to trim off excess dead space (for some reason it adds about a second at the beginning and end of each line), I trim off as much as possible but still have the same results. These are normal conversation voice overs, meaning I only do the generate voice over, generate facefx stuff. It's not a cutscene. It's just a simple conversation with no added animations. I had this problem with the last voice over I did for a mod, but fixed it by deleting everything in the mod then re-exporting all of it, but it isn't working this time. This is most annoying. Any help would be appreciated.
mcgoy
I would have to have this in my own toolset (no, I don't want it - no time) to really troubleshoot. Stages need to be used. VO needs to be done first and then then facial effects (the default is robovoice which takes longer). If using some of the animations, you have to confirm that the animation isn't longer than the spoken line; it won't proceed until the animation finishes - even if you don't see any movement. The list of possibilities goes on and on. The player can always advance by hitting ESC, but it is a 'best practice' to have only one line before the player makes a choice. Yes, I have done this, multiple times, but this is the type of problem that you will encounter.
