gigantibyte
Seems that my iHome laser mouse (model IH-M125LO) has the undocumented feature where a long double press of both buttons switches the mouse's sensitivity from what it was, i.e., from high to low. This functions the same as pressing the mouse's already easily accessible extra DPI button. Never would have noticed if I hadn't played Skyrim, and only recently when playing as a mage. Unfortunately, I could not find any method or magic spell to disable this, um, "bonus" feature, on an otherwise awesome gaming mouse. Quite annoying really. Has any one else been afflicted? Edit: Email response from Life-Works Technical Support: "We are sorry to inform you that we cannot disable this extra feature on this model." Doh! Can someone recommend a good laser mouse without the double-press feature? Edited December 9, 2011 by gigantibyte

Vindekarr
Logitech G-9-X Pros: Nigh on indestructible, good, if uneccesary warantee, excellent accuracy, still the best mouse in the world, ton for ton. Sweatproof grip, highly customiseable, adjustable speed via a button on top. Left and right mouse button, two hotkeys. Cloth cord. Grip is absolutely ideal for those with big hands or long fingers. Cons: Design is excellent, but it's age will not appeal to hipsters. Somewhat heavy. Exclusively right-handed. Requires (brief) installation before use. Designed by a Space Marine Dreadnought for the benefit of his enormous metal hands, the G-9 and it's relations are huge pieces of hardware and those with the tiny little pixy hands mentioned below may find them uncomfortably enormous. Unusual hand-grip. Intended for use with wrist-rest. Personal comments: Frankly the thing you really need to know about the G-9 is the insane longevity. I have a six year old G-9 on my shelf as a momento-it still works perfectly despite being years past warantee, and has outlived two PCs, the only issue is the grip, which has slowly worn smooth. It's also the best option if, like me, you have the mighty fists of a Space Marine Dreadnought. My dinnerplate-hands are very comfortable holding these, though pixy-handed little imps may find it's 270 gram weight unwieldy.Razer Deathadder Pros: Very good looking. High accuracy. Optional packs have a large number of programmable macro keys. Very lightweight. Easy to use. Newer design than the G-9. Very comfortable assuming your hands are suitably tiny. Cons: Knowing Razer it will be superseded quickly. Not as durable as the bulletproof G-9. Some known reliability issues. Designed for people with abslutely tiny little pixy hands, disapears into the palm of many normal-sized specimines. Some claims of poor comfort, especialy for those of above-average sized paws. Personal comments. A very good mouse, I could never make myself buy one though. I have grizzly bear like paws, my hands are like dinnerplates and this mouse is, for me, causes significant hand-pain and cramps after a few tens of minutes. Thermaltake, model unknown Pros: Will be the envy of all lanners. Tiny weight. Adjustable shape. Looks absolutely terrific. Cons: It's usefulness as a mouse is doubtable. Obsurd shape may cause problems down the line. Woefully fiddly. Perhaps trying to re-invent the wheel was a bad idea? Personal Comments: If you want to be stared at, buy this. Simple as that. This bizaar looking device is actualy a mouse, though some have doubts as to it's usefulness, none can deny it looks amazing. And besides, it's reshapeable, how cool is that? It's like a Lamborghini car: woefully uncomfortable and impractical, yet so unspeakably awesome you'll never notice.
