WARNING: Automated BA2 Packing Issue

FYI,

When uploading files to Bethesda.net, if you use the automated packaging of files into .BA2's, be sure to carefully double-check the files that are being included ... verify that *all* of the required items are listed ... because files can be missing / skipped-over.

Check by examining the files in the list that is presented, or review the final packages using a tool such as Bethesda Archive Extractor (BAE).

This issue happens consistently for me for certain mesh files.

UPDATE: Not just Bethesda.net packaging for uploads. It can happen any time automated packaging is requested ... for example, selecting the "Create Archive" option in the File tab.

Looks like it can occur for *any* of the automatic packaging mechanisms.

For example, selecting "Create Archive" from the Files tab, as well as the auto packing when uploading to Bethesda.net.

So double-check the lists, and then add missing files. Or run Archive2.exe and explicitly select the files and folders to pack.

It will also pack loose files form other mods if your mod happens to edit the same thing. Example you have a pipboy map mod that adds a full color map. You make an edit to the Commonwealth worldspace, When auto packing the Ckit will see the texture and pack it along with your assets.

or your using a armor mesh replacer and edit the stats on combat armor. If the replacer includes meshes and textures they will get packed even if you didn't change them.
