Archiveinvalidation Invalidated causing crashes

It's all there in the title. AI I is causing my game to crash on startup, making it impossible for me to run a lot of mods. I have the Steam version of the FO3 GOTY edition and whenever it starts up, I get about five seconds into the game before it just crashes outright. I've tried reinstalling the game, and AI I on top of that, but neither works. Without AI I I can't run FOSE, which is needed for a large number of mods out there.

I checked out the dev page but it seems like this particular mod was abandoned or they just never found the reason for it. Granted, I'm not the most computer literate, but still this is getting exceptionally frustrating. I've been working on it for the last twelve hours and I'm at the end of my chain. I am using FOMM, and I was trying to use FWE or FOOK2, but both are no go. Not sure what else I have open to me

I know there was a manual workaround somewhere, but I can't seem to find it. At this point it seems like my best option. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

That's the load order. I don't know what it means by duplicate entries, so I'm kinda lost. Also, it tells me that I have FOIP for FWE and WMK and FOSE loaded and running, but they don't appear in the order at all.

It crashes when I begin the game. Literally about five seconds into it, when the screen with the indian appears. It runs aboue fiveish seconds and then tells me that there wan an internal error, then crashes.

I hope you saved a backup of your vanilla fallout.ini file, I had the same problem, the solution is to copy the ini backup over the current one and starting the game. If you didn't save your ini, try deleting it and let the game generate a new one, that might, or might not work.

I went looking for it and I couldn't actually find any file called fallout.ini in any of the folders in the game. I have no idea whether that's because it was the Steam version (which I really am coming to despise Steam) or because in all of my infinite wisdom I deleted it somewhere or somehow broke the game in my listless floundering trying to fix it (the irony of which does not escape me) I decided to do a full delete and redownload of the game after clearing out all of the lingering files thereof. I'll see if that works, since the principle should functionally be the same, if more inefficient. That way I can make a clean copy of the .ini file when I get ahold of it starting out.

Thank you though. I'll edit this post with the results.

EDIT:

Okay, new copy with a fresh Fallout.ini and the same mods and load order, and it didn't work. It crashed again, and I replaced the ini with a clean copy that I made prior to trying to run it, but it still crashed at about the same point.

Not sure why it did, but it did nonetheless.

It appears you have four mods that will be fighting each other. FO3 Wanderers restore tracers and restore tracers automatics only. You should be using only one of these. Also, VATS realtime and VATS halftime,

you should only be using one of these.

Alright, after some work I found out what was going on. Apparently FOSE wasn't running at all. It needed to be run through the FOSE loader. Something stupidly simple that I missed looking for everything else. Without it, FWE was crashing left and right. Also, I corrected those conflicting issues with FWE. As for the .ini file, apparently the Steam version of FO3 only lists it as Fallout 3, which was what made me miss it initially.

After doing that and clearing out some of the conflicts mentioned, the game is running much better and all the mods I put in are loading correctly. I still get the occasional crash here or there, but I think those are more related to the fact that FWE is still in beta because those crashed aren't being replicated. Everything seems to be working alright.

Thanks for all the help, guys. I appreciate it.
