skyrim worked well until i updated to 1.3 since then im unable to do anything in the menus with mouse, everytime i have to click a button ingame it just dont react, same on the map, in the shout menu, etc. outside the menu it seems working, im able to swing my weapon and spells but as soon im in a menu its all screwed and i have to navigate with keyboard

anyone knows how to fix it or is it just a crapy update?

The only thing I can think of is that the new patch may have turned the Xbox controller option back on (it was on by default originally and messed up my mouse until I unchecked it.)

I had not loaded the game for days and finally got around to playing again after installing some mods and I had

some weird mouse issue too. In my case my mouse vertical movements would not work as before and I could not

look up or down in the game. Side to side worked but not up and down.

After some hair pulling and falsely accusing some game mods that ended up innocent I tried nuking the game ini files

in mygames/skyrim folder and the relevant default ini in the game executable folder (steam tree).

I had to let steam do a re-inspection to re-verify the files and it set things up default. One does not need to do a full re-install

just let Steam do a inspection (look in game library in Steam, right click on the game, select properties, find tab that has

options for verifying game cache.

Restarted the game, did the initial setup again with setting vid settings , etc.

That fixed my issue.

Something was dorked with in one of the ini files. I have no idea which nor any clue WHAT had done it.

Maybe your having a similar issue. Worth a shot.
