Chase01231984
I just had to reinstall oblvion 3 times w/ mods. It usually cranks right up with no problem, smooth as butter, after I install with plenty of mods, but now wrye bash tell me I should deactivate/merge mods before I rebuild the bashed patch, that there are delinquent master file missing errors, and that my battlehorn castle and bashed patch 0 mods have the same load order as other mods. I have just about every essential oblivion mod you can imagine, but like I said, I usually have no problems installing oblivion with mods. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time, patience, and consideration. p.s.: I attached my boss modlist.txt file for those that are pc savvy (I'm not, I'm just pc knowledgeable.) Thanks again! bevilex
- Oblivion WarCry.esp and Oblivion WarCry EV.esp ... I think (not sure) you must choose only one (EV is the english version, no EV is the german). So here you probably have two times the same mod loaded. - If you plan to use FCOM, I think one plugin is missing : the FCOM patch for WarCry. - FCOM_Convergence.esm should be loaded after Mart's Monster Mod.esm. - You are using Unique Landscapes and Better Cities, but I don't see the patches to make them compatible with FCOM/OOO. - I also dont see the patches for Better Cities and Unique Landscapes. - I don't think your mod list is properly sorted. This is what BOSS gave you ? So yeah I think you are installing mods way too fast here. FCOM, UL, BC need compatibility patches and proper load order to use them together, or you will have a lot of problems (some you might not see directly). Here is a guide to install FCOM :https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4-cZrlVYTi8RXdJenkxR2NaQTQ/view Edited October 11, 2016 by bevilex
Chase01231984
Okay. I just reninstalled it numerous times since we last talked, bevilex. This time it seems to be working, but last time I installed and started a new game (it took me about 45 min.- 1 hour to create a character) I couldn't loot, and the main menu ui was distorted and missing areas. This current install, I tested it before I modded the game to see if it worked and it worked flawlessly, Also, this last/ current install, wrye bash detects about four mods sharing time with unloaded mods, and also having the same load order as each other for the first time in my life. So before I start a new game, I would like to restore Oblivion back to the flawless Oblivion I know and love. If someone could help me fix my load order, I would gladly post whatever wrye bash info. you need to see. Thanks again.! Thanks, bevilex. p.s.: @ bevilex, I couldn't find any of the files u mentioned/ recommended, so I used the mods I already had on my pc that have already worked flawlessly... But like I said, now the main menu ui is distorted, garbled, and missing and when I installed previously, I couldn't loot. Any help would be greatly appreciated. (I also backed up all my mods.) bevilex
Could you provide a screenshot of the distorted UI please ? And also one about your problem with Wrye Bash and unloaded mods ? If some mods share the same load order as others (I think they appear in red in WB), you can just "drag and drop" the .esp file in the mod tab to modify their position in the list. I think the best here is to start again from a fresh Vanilla game and with a save just at the end of the sewers. ( Do a back up of the Vanilla game, in case things go wrong again)Then add mods, slowly, with Wrye Bash. Test every time if the game/mod works properly.Check if you have the latest version of each mods.Start to install the unofficial patches and the following stability/performance mods :- Oblivion Stutter Remover- EngineBugFixes- 4GB Patch- MoreHeapIf you want FCOM, then start with installing FCOM. Use the link I gave you in my previous message. Then Uniques Landscapes, and then Better Cities. You will need the OOO patches for UL. You can find them here:http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/13834/? You will need the FCOM patches for BC. You can find them in one of the archive available in BC's mod page: http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/16513/?You can use the wizard of Wrye Bash if you need help picking the right .esp files. You can find the UL/BC patches in one of the 2 links above, I think.
Chase01231984
Okay. Well I re-installed the game and I finally have it up and working, also running well. I found the patches you suggested I get and they installed fine. Maskars OO used to tell me I should load it's .esp after the bashed patch (even after I did,) but this time it said nothing, so that's fixed. I could'nt find the fcom bravil patch, but wrye bash detected fcom and installed it when I ran the better cities' .rar wizards. Unfortunately I have a personal major problem with my final install, and a few minor problems. I use a logitech gamepad f710 and also the logitech profiler that came with the gamepad (I assigned a few buttons) to play as a shortsword duel wielding paladin, and the unnecessary violence III UV action/activate/modifier button isn't working, stopping me from switching weapons to my characters left hand. Also the UV buttons sometimes don't work at all, or usually, the other two UV buttons work, but the UV attack button stops working. The main menu Load and Options screens are garbled and disjointed (screenshots attached,) and in third person view in-game the UV attack button animation doesn't show 85% of the time. The UV attack button works fine for now, but in third person the UV attack buttons animations don't seem to be working well, my character just stands there, but the sound plays and my character attacks just fine. The major problem is the UV activate button. I also tried the keyboard assignment buttons that I mapped to my gamepad via the Logitech profiler, and the UV attack key works, the UV throw key works, but the UV activate key on the keyboard seems to be unresponsive or something. I know these are very specific and rare inqueries, but if you or someone could help, I would really appreciate it. But everything else works in Oblivion, I mean I beat the game, but I never had the chance to raid and range all the dungeons, caverns, etc. with or without mods. The game looks beautiful now, gamerankings.com ranks it about a 93%-95% on PC, but now it's definitely a 100% with all the essential mods. But without the ability to switch hands with weapons, I don't even want to play anymore. Thanks for the help you provided me with early to get my game up and running, and yes, I did back up my vanilla oblivion folder. Thanks again
