delzaron
Hi everybody Let me present myself : Delzaron, moddeur amateur.I'm not really a newbie (I'm on nexus since 2012, i guess), But I mostly never used it except for downloading mods. But now I wish to add my stone to the building, and upload some of the mods I done. So, I'm asking you what are the rules of the nexus, specially about mods ?I explain : I made several mods on LL (here some of them : ) These mods often use some Nexus mods as assets (meshes and textures mostly). I'm currently cleaning some of them (so, removing the sexlab dependecie, remove all the kinky dialogues, remove some meshes and textures to make it lighter, etc... so, no more adult content) in attempt to post them (not all of them) on the nexus, but I'm meeting a problem : Nexus rules are very different than LL ones. For example, FTD (one of my most popular mod, it's an adaptation of Innsmouth Nightmare from H.P. Lovecraft) use a mod from Comvex (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/58062/?), and musics from abandonware games (Nightmare creatures 1 and Doom 1). I already sended a message to Comvex to get his authorization, but I received no answer yet. Does this mod could be valid for being uploaded on Nexus ? I suppose also I need to endorse collaborations, and assets/ressources I used, right ? Thanks in advance. Best regards Delzaron
M48A5
The Terms of Service is very clear in this area. I suggest you read them. This also includes members from countries that do not recognise copyright laws. All files uploaded must have been created by the uploader or used with permission from the original author of the content. If you cannot provide proof of consent then your file will be removed and your account is likely to be banned. No permission, no upload.
delzaron
Ok, thanks, that's perfectly clear. So, no mods with musics or assets... it will be possible, but it'll require lot of work to remove all of that (in one month, I only get one possitive answer about authorizations. Other people never answer... so I can't use their work). Currently, I only have a little mod which can fit the Nexus rules (assets are from dawnguard.esm, no assets or musics from other mods or games, special furnitures are from ZAZ.esm. Both esm are used as Masters).
