tm2dragon
In your opinion, what are THE must-have mods for any power-armor playthrough?
damanding
Worsin's Power Armor Garage is my personal favorite. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/2249 But PAMAP is also quite popular. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/4619 I think both do roughly the same thing which is to separate paint and materials as different mods you can apply. Worsin's adds additional features like a boatload of really nice paint jobs and improvements to the power armor stats. I've never used PAMAP so I'm not as familiar with it. You'll probably also want to consider a mod to improve the HUD, I personally prefer Better Dials for Power Armor: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10937 If you enjoy the goofier side of things, I also happen to love Car Sounds for Power Armor http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/2920/? and Take Your Cores http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/14773/?. I listed Take Your Cores on the goofy side because of the mod description and the fact that the mod author tells you how to make it compatible with Car Sounds for Power Armor but it's actually a genuinely useful mod. Once you exit power armor it automatically returns the core to your inventory for you.

Moraelin
Personally I like my own shadowed power armour, but admittedly I'm not exactly unbiased there. Plus it will only do you any good if you plan on sneaking in it.
