magmameister
It does sound like it'd be complicated but it'd be awesome if you could pull it off. Though maybe it only activates once. (If you've ever played the FO3 Point Lookout DLC, that had a similar scene to what you're trying to achieve) Definitely looking forward to seeing it! And if you wanted me to, I could help with playtesting :)
JoKelly
as promised a few screen shots of some of the new stuff. I have to redo some of the textures, and UV maps and the collision meshes of some of the custom stuff is screwy. But its coming along. The paddle wheeler is one of the things that collision is meshed up on. this texture and UV mapping is going to be reworked.http://i.imgur.com/RMfOVAB.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/tBedTBy.png A shot of the bridge with its new lights.http://i.imgur.com/dfjQAQR.png
JoKelly
The Town of Tully, the first location the Courier will visit in the Quest. I still have to finish the second location, Warrens Drift. Tully is located in the Deeper desert two weeks north of New Vegas, settled by both NCR settlers seeking an escape from the NCR and native born wastelanders it is a trade hub and a so called Free State of Nevada settlement. I can't take to much credit for it so far. It started life as the Salnef resource by IAssassinII and of course the sandcrete is trickyviens. I created the world space for the town and am in the process of heavily modifying the town itself. Anyway this is how its looking at this point. http://i.imgur.com/HbsVYIR.pngHolmes Salvagehttp://i.imgur.com/lqzmd5c.pngThe happy trails office in the Market.http://i.imgur.com/vqC7Gjp.pngRosa's Cantinahttp://i.imgur.com/zs72TXx.pngAlley between buildingshttp://i.imgur.com/oC3YoNJ.pngthere is a lot left to do, but thats the start of it. JoKelly
Thanks The DemonJackal, It will be while before I reach that point, but when I do I will ask. Right now the only characters that will need dialogue at some point are the five main rangers of Dog Company, Amanda, the Narrator, and the Radio announcer, and the Darkman Lucias Cree. There will be more but those are the core NPC's at this point. Thanks MagmaMeister, I've spent the weekend trouble shooting some glitches in the interiors I am working on, setting up a custom radio station and working out its glitches, and setting up two quests. Some thing I really want to do is to set up an intro movie using a Bik. But have been unable to find much info on how to do so. Opening and ending slide shows, Not a problem but a movie. I know I can set up a quest that will do some of what I want, but not all of it and from what little I have found, the reason Bethesada used a Bik is the engine isn't capable of handling a movie created via scripting. as for the Radio station, I'm looking into getting permission to use some of the music that inspired parts of this mod. For example-
magmameister
Oooooh. If you do get permission to use the music then that would be awesome. But if not there may be the possibility of trying to find similar music on the public domain or seeing if you can get the permission of someone who could compose music for you? It's always good to find glitches yourself but I'm available to help with that process. If you sent me the files with the correct pathing and stuff then I could always see what other glitches I can help you iron out. Edited November 1, 2016 by magmameister
JoKelly
Once I get to the testing stage of the quests and scripts I will take you up on that offer. The problem I am facing at the moment is the appearance of odd lines that appear across the screen in two interior spaces. Its kind of like the bug that causes some spikes and lines to shoot from NPC's and creatures on occasion. I'm starting to think it might be something in some of the sandcrete assets. As far as the music goes, I'm going to try to get permission but I am not holding my breath. So I will be on the look out for music I can legally use to replace what I really want. YanL
The bounty series have a western theme, judging by the images, your mod is basically a Sergio Leone´s movie. Do not take this the wrong way, but rather as an opportunity to implement various cliches of the genre. If I may, let me make a suggestion: The Courier went there seeking allies, then how about a group of 5 tough badasses that can be recruited using these cliches? 1) one allies with you if won the caravan tornament that is happening in the city (would be equivalent to poker tournaments of the time, as depicted, for example, in Maverick) 2) one allies with you if you can beat him in a shooting the target contest 3) one allies with you after you prove that are better hunter then him (put some legendary enemies that you have to kill) 4) one allies with you if you prove that you can drink more whiskey then him. this may involve various skill/special checks. With sneak you can cheat and throw the drink away or with a combination of endurance and chem resistent you can beat him honestly, etc 5) and finally one allies with you if you help him win a unfair bar fight. What? Dont liked? Too complicated? There´s nothing to do with your mod? You simple don´t wanna any of that? Then I have a simple and cool sugestion: several unique dialogues if you have cowboy, rapid reload, home on the range and quick draw perks. Also, this two weapons please? http://m.rrarms.com/media/catalog/product/cache/5/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/s/c/scj4510ss_012.jpg
