Having Difficulty Downloading Small Files

This seems to happen mostly when I'm trying to download small files (as in small enough to auto-select a server), when I select the Premium Denver Server for larger files I don't have this problem.

 

Basically, it frequently comes up "Bad Response from Server" or "Failure to Connect to Web Server" or sometimes I get a different error, but I think that one is ISP related, as it has to do with my ISP's Turbopage Server.

 

If I try it again and again, it might eventually work, but it seems to take a lot of trying sometimes.

 

When I try to download from manager, it sometimes works, and sometimes it gives me errors like "File Does not exist".

 

I'm using Firefox 8.0.1, and I use Internet Download Manager as well, though this error happens before it sends to Internet Download Manager.

Sundays are the busiest day for traffic on the sites.....this is probably the issue as many come here to download but don't want to become members....they can download files smaller than 2mb without logging in or even becoming a member.

buddah, have you checked all the other 'can't download mods' threads? There is something more afoot than just bandwidth. I haven't been able to use a Premium server or regular for that matter for >2 gig mods for a couple of weeks now. No problem with the other Nexus mod sites, only Skyrim and only on my gaming desktop. Everything works great when I log on from my laptop. At least I have an option, many other people are SOL (some Premium members as well.)

same, I think it has to do with the US severs, I can downland the large files (where you can choose the server) from the UK severs
