Yuiu
A while ago, I had to wipe my harddrive. I backed up all my save games, but I didn't feel like making a list of all my mods (pfft, writing with pens? :P) Now it's been about a year and I want to reinstall all of the mods I had so I can play my save games again... And herein lies the problem. Is there *any* way to see what mods are being used in a specific save game file? Since it says that the save contains things which aren't included in the game when I try to load them, I'd imagine that the save has a list of mods somewhere. Anyone have any ideas? If not, there's one mod I really want, but I can't find. I'm pretty sure I got it off TESsource (when it still was that), and it's a race mod. It adds a cat girl/boy-type race to the game. It's basically a nord or something with kajiit ears. I liked it cuz it was cute >.> Any way, thanks in advance. Hoping you can help! EDIT: I found the mod I was looking for (Ainmhi Race), but would still like an answer to the first question.
LFact
Use Wrye Bash.
bben46
Or use OBMM. on the main screen, select Utilities, then select Save Manager. When you select a save It will show you which mods are active, inactive and which it can't find for each saved game. Wrye Bash has more features, but is more difficult for newbies to get working properly. It also requires another program to work, Python which is a programming language. Wrye Bash is great, but for non programmers it is a bit obscure. While OBMM does not have some of the features of Wrye Bash, it is more intuitive and even a non geek can use the basic mod listing and ordering functions to select which mods they want to be active.
