Persistent CTD on save.

So, this has been a problem for quite a while now. I used to be able to solve the CTD on save issue by using the old save, player.kill, new save, player.kill method, but now that only works for the first save.

 

I'm not wholly sure what causes it, but I think the game is unable to save manual saves properly. I suspect this as:

 

1. If I load an incremental save (autosave manager), I can manually save the game.

2. If I try to save after this, the game crashes.

3. I can sometimes save repetedly, but as soon as I leave the game and try to save again, it crashes on save.

3. The game will crash if I save the game after loading a (recent) manual save

4. If I clean a manual save by removing orphan scripts, I can then load and save in that instance, but if I try to save again I will crash.

 

So, this is quite bizarre. I can't really do anything as the game crashes as soon as I save by travel. I realise that my save game is pretty far gone and I'll probably need to start afresh, I'm kinda prepared for that in terms of keeping up to date with levelling, weapons, etc... But I don't want to start a new game until I can identify the problem and deduce what is causing the corruptions. This is what I have done so far as to try and solve this problem (using this as a guide http://steamcommunity.com/app/72850/discussions/0/846944689806896570/#c846944689808330265)

 

1. Uninstalled the game from steam. Deleted the whole Skyrim folder and reinstalled. Then reinstalled my mods and the DLC as well as downloaded subscribed mods on the workshop (this whole step seemed to actually reduce some script lag I had)

2. Cleaned every single .esp for ITMs and undelete and disable references (TESVEdit)

3. Zeroed the Papyrus section to ensure it is not a script issue.

4. Modified ENB parameters to try and reduce crashes.

5. Cleaned the saves with both Save Game Script Cleaner, PDTWrapper (Save game scalpel) and a save cleaner that removes a certain formID (0001AC0C)

6. HOURS of research trying to find a solution.

 

In any case, I have my WHOLE skyrim folder (the old one) zipped and if anyone wants to see it, I can probably upload it to MEGA, but I'd really rather not.

 

But I'll just upload a zip of my enb inis, Skyrim.ini, SkyrimPrefs.ini and anything else I can find.

 

Ah, there is an interesting point I should mention. I uninstalled the ReAnimate mod (can't remember why) but regardless there are still scripts appearing for the ReAnimate mod. I know I said it probably isn't a script issue but at any rate, because of this anomaly, I will also include my Papyrus logs.

Well, this is a bit unfortunate, but I disabled the Papyrus logging to reduce script latency. So, I'll get right on that. I'll include the Papyrus parameters that I have at the moment, however.

 

Also, XPMSEWeaponStyleScaleEffect usually has a lot of seemingly stuck threads when I analyse the savegame in PDTWrapper:

 

30 threads ( OnObjectEquipped) were created by one single instance with ID 1159214320#Self: 1159214320, which belongs to class XPMSEWeaponStyleScaleEffect#Class: XPMSEWeaponStyleScaleEffect from XPMSE#Resource: XPMSE. This looks suspicious. Please, ensure that these threads are not stuck. You can play a bit and check if these threads are finished or not.

Note: the engine was executing the following instruction at the moment of writing the savegame (is this instruction stuck or it just needs some time to finish?):

I2: call<method> Restyle, self, NoneVar, 0;

30 threads is quite common, but it is sometimes more. Usually another instance will throw another 25 or something.

Bump. Problem still not solved and experiencing issues on new save, such as CTD at Whiterun Stables (I assume that's to do with ETaC)
