ZippoMoon Posted October 17, 2016 Share Posted October 17, 2016 (edited) I was deeply disappointed when I found the subway and pharmacy exit's when exploring 88 since they negate the whole point of having that big vault door, it really brakes my immersion since what's to stop some raider or super mutant from going "Hey whats behind this plywood barricade?" and kicking it in? Then they would find the vaults wall and one bomb later and their in attacking and killing my Vault Dwellers. I propose a mod that has three versions:1. A lite version that tacks on a script to the barricades that disables there corresponding attack spawn points until they get scraped (which may already be in the DLC I'm not sure).2. A moderate version that simply removes the subway manhole cover and the pharmacy altogether.3. A Deluxe version that removes the subway station and the pharmacy and its basement entirely and replaces them with more cave's. What do you guy's think? Edit: After looking at a map I just realized that the placement of the exit's to the south of the entrance when the area's the come out at are NORTH of the quarry just makes things worse. To mod or not to mod that is the question -you can build solid wall against that exit with the noclip build anywhere mod.merely, choose the wall you like, and build.you can build 1-way doors from 88's side, and have them locked from the outside.you've also got the exits which are near theRed Rocket Settlement Mod -Red Rocket South Quincy. as to the 'add more caves' -you have some existing options;Basement Living,Build Anywhere SettlementAny Door Anywhere (it connects a door to another loading area rad-free, where you can build)tunnels and pipes mod and Snap'n'builds purely awesome mods... merely,build the door you like as a any door anywhere,on the otherside, connect the door exit to basement living door A etc,and BOOM! after 'loading screen',you will arrive in more caves.or, you can arrive in tunnels that look like FONV underground near Novac rocketor, you can arrive in parking garage.whatever as you like it. I recommend to making the pharmacy area have a tunnel over/ snap and build bunker wall,and a door with that method -as, to bind that door itself to basement living caused crashes which required me a fresh install.they are working on being able to re-title the door for easier labelling later.they are also working on an elevator being a 'door' - ie,you build an elevator you like from a mod,and you use no-clip to build this 'door' elevator cart in the entry way.settlers will walk through, and boom easily solved. i hope I give you some options to sturdying yourV88.good luck! Hallgarth Posted October 21, 2016 Share Posted October 21, 2016 I think the idea would have been that if the vault had been finished, then those areas would have been sealed off, probably with concrete or something. Also, bethesda are known to mess up when it comes to position and location. Galaxy News Radio from F3 comes to mind, where the rear exit was nowhere near the rest of the building.
