biinnoc9
I get a message that says, "Warning: This plug has the file extension.esp. but its file header marks it as an esm!" How can this problem be fixed? It keeps crashing my game or make it unresponsive! Thanks for any assistance with this problem.
Shadeybladey
It's meant to be like that, isn't it? It's an esp flagged as an esm.

It's an esp flagged as an esm.I want to know what to do about this problem so it won't happen again. I can't play Skyrim because of it and my game crashes either in start up or in-game. Can anyone tell me what's to be done about this problem?
Shadeybladey
The Unofficial Patches do not cause that, unless it's a very, very recent bug. If that is the case, you'd be better off reporting it to the AFK forum, which is Arthmoor's site. As long as you have the correct patches for the Steam version you have, which are: USKP and the relevant, separate DLC Unofficial Patches (if you don't have all the DLC) or USLEEP if you have all the DLC or Skyrim Legendary Edition, then everything should be fine. Crashing on load screen is usually to do with a mod dependency being absent, or a mod that the game is expecting in the load order has been removed without updating LoadOrder.txt and Plugins.txt. If you are using USLEEP, you have the Legendary Edition or the Vanilla Edition plus all 3 DLC? ~
