Skyrim instantly crashes on save - please help!!

The reason why player.kill doesn't work, as due to some mods installed, (i.e SkyTweak) it considers you as an important NPC. So, to fix this, if you are using SkyTweak, simply go to the INI section, and make it allowed for vital NPCs to die. You can renable this after if you like.

One can open the console (~ key) and simply type "save" "savename" and hit enter - this will effectively create a hard save 4 you.
