TehBrillfighter
The use of NVAC for the load order has removed the requirement of the d3d9.dll proxy. Good catch! I'll try a restarted Fallout 3 save and see if it manages to defend against crashes. Edit: Seems that crashes have been significantly been reduced, only time it did crash was when I exited Moriarty's saloon, and I believe that was a crash caused due to the auto-save features. I think I'm noticing NVAC countering crashes, as the loading screens that could have potentially crashed seem to stall for a few seconds and then pick up loading again. I'll continue testing it tomorrow when I have the chance, and update accordingly. So far so good however. Also since it's now available, is it recommended that I use ENBoost for Fallout 3? Or can it do more harm than good? Edited October 22, 2016 by TehBrillfighter
M48A5
It would be a good idea to read the comments on the mod page before you try to use an enb. I don't but I was able to get an FO3 overhaul that is o longer available. I really can't see why you are having the problems you do. You load list isn't that large. TehBrillfighter
At this point, I would like to say that my crashes have been more-or-less eliminated. NVAC seems to be stuttering the game at points, which makes me believe that it is handling a heavy amount of exceptions that would normally result in a crash (More noticeable when entering buildings sometimes and the load animation stalls for 4-5 seconds). Upon reading install instructions and comments for ENBoost and downloading the ENBoost files and binaries (Found here: http://enbdev.com/download_patch_falloutnv.htm and here http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/19369/?) I have literally experienced no crashes for an hour and a half of playing. Which is an average playtime increase of 350%-800% so far. I'd like to show my thanks and appreciation for the support you've given me with both load order and third-party utilities, as it would have taken me significantly longer to figure it out.Even if the crashes are not eliminated, restarting the game every hour or so is definitely not a problem, 10-20 minutes however was getting unbearable at that point. Thanks again (for now) Edit: I should also thank pixelhate, who made me remove a mod which I realised did nothing for me in terms of performance, and apparently bugged the Zeta DLC as well as floor collision.
