Fikealox
Hi everyone, I'd imagine that it would probably require the construction kit, but it would be great if we could make melee attacks without suddenly standing stock-still when we're casting spells (or holding ready spells) in our off hands. Maybe I'm unusual, but that behaviour seems illogical, and makes wielding one-handed weapons in combination with spells an unattractive option for me. Surely I'm not the only person it bothers? Sorry if there're already posts on this; if there are, I couldn't find 'em! Thanks :)
kravansh
lol THANK YOU for posting this. That is exactly what killed skyrim for me. The combat is so bland because you can't move while attacking, making tactics such as duck and weave or circle-strafing impossible. It just turns melee combat into a hacking match where you trade swings with your enemy. It's like colonial-era warfare: Stand, shoot, reload while standing there; lather, rinse, repeat. And being unable to use a one-handed weapon or two weapons or a one handed weapon and a spell at the ready AND block at the same time is illogical as well. Or using a two-handed weapon AND cast spells. It is maybe justified by using a weapon and a shield or two weapons in that you would need one hand free to cast spells (and even then that can be blown away by something known as an athame). The whole "flamethrower" thing where you press and hold the button and the spell goes on for as long as you hold it down is annoying as well. Another thing that I despise about both Skyrim and Morrowind is how third person view sticks your character on the left. That completely misses the point of being able to switch between first and third person modes. First person mode is so you can see what's directly in front of you, for precision; while third person mode is so you have peripheral vision, so you know which way to turn when that guy suddenly circle-strafes behind you, or to know which direction that arrow that just hit you in the arm came from. In any event, I just installed Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul and some mods that made whole new questlines and pretend I'm playing a new game.

Laconus
I would love to see a mod like this. This is something that annoys me about the combat in Skyrim. I support this.
