invisible mods...

Probably not contributing much but I'm having the same problem and have followed all the same steps.

If any one reads these posts, know this, If you are using NMM as an installer, it keeps all the ini and archived data. It will continue to load hidden ini settings that you need to remove and reset to default.

I can't help you in this due to I don't use nmm for that very reason. The CK does not use nmm's data, the GECK does not use it, so you end up with weird problems that seem to elude you.

A basic game installed prior to the invention of the NMM, we did not have all of these sorts of issues. not like this.

SO, I just went through the issue of manually installing every single mod, and the same ones that gave me issue before are showing as invisible. Others work just fine, but those simply show up as invisible. The texture are installed, but for some reason the game will not fetch them. Strangely enough it only happens to some of them, more precisely the loose-files based ones. It seems the game refuses to fetch the textures and/or meshes into the folders? I will try moving them all out and see if it improves.

I would try through bethesda, but in my current location the internet is just far too slow to allow that...guess I'll have to wait another week to test these mods, or wait until nexus updates....

When connected to the servers while in game "Bethesda", your bandwidth will be through the roof, you will be directly connected to their IP thus by passing all the "hops", not a normal internet. you can see it's speed by the install processes in game, it's lightning fast.

This is provided your PC's configurations are correct and not all hosed up or restricted by your IP provider. you may also notice larger files have a redundancy backup during an install, you do not get corrupted files, the system acts much like a torrent system, it uses tunneling.

Bethesda connections are strictly privatized. Per person. How ever, if your ip is a mess to begin with, then I understand the fear.
