HuzzahBritain
Hi everyone* So I am currently working on a mod for Fallout 4, and I have ran into some issues with one particular subject. Now, I have used the CK to make mods before (Didn't have Nexus Account back then) for Skyrim and a little bit for Fallout: New Vegas. Now, what I am having trouble with is that I have permission to use assets from one mod in my mod (I'll link it below) and I have had no problem carrying the characteristics over when I rename the Clothing. However, the texture doesn't carry over, and I am left with the old, original Fallout 4 texture. This mod is a standalone Minutemen Clothing add-on that adds the clothes into the game for you to mess around with (it doesn't replace anything) which you can find here: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/5863/?and I have the author (dales') full permission to use assets included, as said above. If you know how to help me with this, please either reply or PM me - any will do. Many thanks,HuzzahBritain *Sorry about comic sans, I only use it to make myself laugh :hurr:
chucksteel
without seeing the mod I would guess you need to set the material swap for the models. open the form of the armor,go to where you set the model and click Editdo not change the models itselfat the bottom of the window you'll see the material swap Click custom and navigate to the new materials .bgsm you want to use. click OK and your done. Thanks, I'll try that now The .bgsm is in the clothes mod, and it won't appear without it. Does that mean that people downloading my mod would need both files in order for my mod to work
chucksteel
That or you need to repackage the textures and materials into ba2 archives for your mod. You have permissions to use the assets so that shouldn't be a problem.
