Perhaps we can all agree that even if video game addiction does not exist, video game obsession does?
I'd say - I know at some point when I was younger my video game playing was bordering on OCD! o_O And I can vouch for almost every gamer out there that this happens to us all (unless you don't play games, or have a immense willpower :D )

Yes, there is a fine line between obsession and addiction. An addiction is a physical or psychological need with actual negative repercussions for ignoring said addiction. An obsession, on the other hand, is a strong desire.

May I change the subject? I like this sort of discussion but I feel it doesn't fit here. Maybe we can continue it somewhere else.

Here's a new subject: I am going to have me a bowl of cereal and then go to bed. Gotta give the parasite its nutrition you know. Here's a fact: people say a pregnant woman has to eat for 2, but actually they don't need more than 300-500 more calories, depending on the stage. A woman shouldn't be more than 25-30 lbs more at the end of term, and that weight is a mixture of baby, extra tissue, extra water, fat, and other bla bla. So don't tell your wives to eat for two because she'll get fat!

That sounds about right, eh? You eat for two, and you'll definitely gain the extra weight that'll be tough to work off after all is said and done (giving birth, that is). Anyhoo, moving right along. Kungfubellydancer, I should mention that we do have a forum specifically for debating. You can start up whatever (debatable) topic that comes mind. I was going to mention that this thread is starting to look more like a debate, so I think maybe some of this could be moved.

It was a sad day for me when I saw this happen first hand.

There was always a picture of my classmate's wife in his locker - damn hot woman if you ask me, taken right before she was pregnant.

When asked about his wife, he would only say "she's pregnant". when I saw her for the first time at graduation (nuke power school incase anyone's interested), I looked at her tummy - yep 7months preggy, but .. her arms, neck, legs, had a lot of extra fat.

she became a fatty to the point where if you didn't know she was preggy you'd have thought she just had a belly from being fat.

I almost cried - such a knock-out woman now looking like a pillow of cottage cheese. *sigh*

Now I know the image of a "perfect" woman is fake and that we shouldn't think of fat as ugly but let's face it, fat is unhealthy like that - slows the metabolism, puts stress on muscles and the spine, lowers energy levels and lowers flexibility....

It’s just sad. I thought to myself, "She must have used her pregnancy as an excuse to get fat".

Oh, poor girl. But lucky me, my arms are no more than 4 inches at the widest, but if I keep eating the way I do I might end up a little over weight. I've been eating subs and drinking orange juice and completely ditching the colas lately, so I think I'll survive. But I like baking (aww, that's so housewife-like!) and I can't help but eat one too many of my cookies. Usually my cookies are vaporized before they cool down though, so I get into the habit of eating one, and then leaving the room and coming back only when the cookies are gone.

Other housewife stuff I like to do: clean, order young ones around, cook, do laundry, do tedious things like color-order all clothing items in the house, make my husband happy, looking nice and caring about my looks (I am not a cheerleader, I just like keeping my husband proud of his wife when in public), decorating my bedroom with samurai swords/dragon figurines which I love, and also, make my room less feminine and sharable for my hubby.

Housewife stuff I don't like: sharing the house with unorganized individuals, going out with my husband to visit his friends (its not like I don't like them, its just that I prefer staying alone than with people), delaying further education, and soon enough, taking care of new family members.

Well if you don't like delaying education or taking care of new family members you ah.. probably shouldn't be having a baby..... but I suppose you want to adjust. You didn't get preggy just because you had that "empty nest" syndrome that plagues a large percentage of women did you?

I find that to be sad too, almost as sad as women becomming fatties because of pregnancy.

But nice that you like dragons ^_^ me too. yay!

I think its time to stop, before you dig this hole any further.

Lets all leave the nest now because this newbie has graduated.

Congratulations kungfubellydancer
