Gorthock Posted December 14, 2011 Share Posted December 14, 2011 I went to play Skyrim at about 8:30 this morning. It is now 3:03 this afternoon and still on joy. I started to re-install the game after trying EVERYTHING else. The lovely and not so talented Steam loader thingy came up and I chose re-install. Cool it went to work. Then I noticed it was going to almost THREE FREAKING HOURS to complete. I had the game disk in the DVD drive but it remained silent I still haven't figured that one out yet. Anyway back to the trouble at hand. after waiting for 2 HOURS 59 MINUTES and 59 SECONDS, the damn thing froze up tight. It's been sitting at 1 second for about 10 minutes, Would anyone know how I can get the game to run. Please, anyone? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
maboru Posted December 15, 2011 Share Posted December 15, 2011 The Steam servers were down for 'unscheduled maintenance' early today but they're back up now. To install from your disk open your Steam account first (and leave it open) then go to your DVD drive in 'My Computer' and double-click on Setup.exe and it should open an install screen that tells you it is "Installing From Disk".
