Dubik123
Hello. Lately, I have been experiencing a lot of bugs I have never seen before, and could use some advice. The first one was unresponsive enemies. After loading the game, several enemies did not attack me until I got very close to them. They were just standing there until I got close. This happened about two times after loading into the game. The second one was corpses falling trough the enviroment. I know this is common for many Bethesda games, but I have never seen it in Fallout 4. Dead bodies just ignore the collisions and fall trough walls and floors. This also happened about two times. The last one was very strange and happened just now. Dogmeat was fighting a ghoul and they both suddenly went flying, still in the combat animations, until they flew trough a house and disappeared. I was thinking this could be caused by a mod I recently installed, as I never experienced these bugs without it. However, it is only a simple mod that adds Ballistic Weave to the Vault Jumpsuit. I dont think that could affect the game enviroment. Could these bugs be tied to save corruption? Or are they common in the game? Thank you in advance. montky
interesting bugs you detail -indeed, bugs such as those are common in bethesda games,it's part of the 'charm' hehehe. as to enemies not attacking you until point-blank,what specifics are involved -are you a high level eg level 130?do you have particular perks or mods installed? camouflage armor, stealth boys and high-stealth stats cancause enemies to ignore you, especially if the armor sets a player-faction...maybe you enabled no-clipping or otherwise changed your player-faction or state?if you are a very high level, sometimes enemies won't "aggro" and attack straight away... as to defeated enemies flying through the environment -that would make for some funny youtube montage or so eh?though,we'd need more details as to specifics -what mods are in the load order... what was the papyrus log,how long had you been playing in that session,etc... as a general rule, the longer duration you play the game continuously, and the more cells you cross in game, the greater your risk of encountering 'bethesda bugs'. it could be related to some cell reset bug issue,it could be a mod weapon you have installed,it could be a melee perk such as pain train etc... it extends the melee distances, and some weapons send enemies flying...it could have been a simul-critical,it could have been a missile attack which didn't render...my guess is that -it was both a simul-critical from dogmeat on the ghoul AND a melee-range extender or attack from an explosive source, which caused them to fly, rather than falling through the mesh and up to the ceiling height and around again, like the VATS bug. as to save corruption...how many different save games do you have?are you saving to separate save games,or are you on survival mode and spamming the autosave on quit feature?spamming the auto-save/quicksave is ill-advised, as that is more prone to save-corruption.conversely, only having 1 savegame file is also ill-advised... I hope this helps somewhat, and I will be interested to see how this resolves,as the more information you have about the gamestate at time of crash, the more folks on NexusMods can try and help.
Dubik123
Hi montky, thank you for replying. I hope I can get rid of this problem once and for all. First off, its somewhat good news that they are regular "Bethesda bugs".Now, I will answer some of your questions. I am Level 62 in the game. I do not have any Sneak-related perks. I do not use Shadowed Armor and did not use a Stealth Boy at the time of the bug. Thing is, this did not seem very natural, the enemies were just standing there in their idle positions and only shot me when I got close. I did not use no-clip, nor did I change my player faction. In the other bug, enemies dont exactly fly trough the enviroment, they just sink in. There were two instances - one was the Deathclaw at the Old Gullet Sinkhole, which sank into the ground with only its hand sticking out. The other one was a dog in the Slocums Joe HQ in Malden, which fell down the stairs and trough a wall. Here is my load order.Fallout4.esm=1ArmorKeywords.esm=1ConcealedArmor.esm=1Craftable Armor Size.esp=1LongCoatVaultSuit.esp=1ConcealedArmor.esp=1DD_Khassar_De_Templari_Increased_build.esp=1Ballistic Weave Vaultsuits.esp=1 I dont know how to post the papyrus log, mind explaining that to me?I was playing for rouhgly 30 minutes during that session. Now to the strangest bug of them all. This is very hard to explain, and I am sorry that I cannot post a screenshot of it. To put you in some perspective, the Ghoul was NOT dead. Imagine Dogmeat fighting a Ghoul. Now imagine the fight is happening mid-air, with all of its animations. Also, they were both moving, until they no-clipped trough a house and disappeared. If I encounter this ever again, I promise you, I will take a screenshot and post it here. In addition to this, I do not have any Melee perks. I know that dead enemies can go flying if you perform a critical on them. However, I did not even touch this Ghoul. I have something over 400 saves. I always save in seperate files. I never use the autosave feature, infact, I turned off all autosaving in the game. I also never load from the "exitsaves" introduced in the latest updates. I do quicksave every 30 seconds or so, however. I do it just as a checkpoint - I dont use them as regular saves. I will keep on playing some more. If anything strange comes up, I will let you know.Note, that my PC is also kind of allergic to Bethesda games. Skyrim is an unfixable mess loaded with all kínds of bugs that I cant ever get rid of, New Vegas too... I just hope that this wont be another great game lost because of some unknown, unfixable problem.
Dubik123
Okay, I know some time has passed since my last entry here and I don't mean to bump this thread, but I have been experiencing some minor issues. I deleted the Vault Suit mod and continued playing from the save prior to downloading the mod. Things have been going well for about 10-15 hours of gameplay until very recently. I noticed some more bugs. They are not necessairily game-breaking, but strange nonetheless and learning more about them wouldn't hurt. For instance, some enemies have stacks of the weapon they were using on their corpse. For example, a Raider is fighting me with a Combat Rifle. After I kill him, he drops 3 Combat Rifles. This only happens on some enemies and it seems like a common Bethesda bug, I would just like to be sure. At one time a "Press E to talk to Gunner Commander" has appeared out of the blue. No Gunner Commander in sight. Just this prompt appearing out of nowhere. And I have been having this issue with the LOD loading slowly. Like, I can be three feet away from a billboard and only then does it load into a higher resolution texture. I have had this same issue in New Vegas and it made the game unplayable. It is not that appearant in Fallout 4, but still makes me a bit worried. I was thinking to myself, is this all caused by save corruption/bloat? I dont remember having these issues before. I hope someone responds.
Yehudi
the press e to talk bug is common I see it a lot just press e a couple of times it goes away , corpse's dropping through the terrain and flying dogmeat and the ghoul possibly havoc / framerate related if your fps dips down low sub 20s you see weird stuff happen configure you game to run at 50+ fps if possible and don't disable v-sync this causes the same weirdness . multiple item count i have seen it prior to cleaning all the dlc.esm's I'm not getting it now but i also clean all esp's check for itm's and use loot to configure load order . Dubik123
I found another one. While walking around the North End, I found Preston Garvey with a bunch of Brotherhood soldiers just wandering around. This was not the impersonator. It was Preston himself. I found absolutely no explanation to this.Sure, it is not a game-breaking bug but it is really strange.
