chucksteel
OK guys I have a friend who wants to try their hand at modding and they asked me if their PC was capable of running the game enough to mess with the Ckit. I'm no PC expert so I thought I'd ask for him here before advising him to take the plunge or not. System Specs. I-3 2100 (3.1 Ghz,)8GB G-Skillz ram,and a GT 520. What do you think, is it possible? Worth a shot?
dazzerfong
The i3 might be passable, but that 520 is going to be problematic with the game.
chucksteel
They don't have to have the game fully playable but, would want the Ckit to run well enough to try some things and make mods that they could play on the XB1.
VagorDacil
I was running SWTOR on the same machine last summer. I wasn't sure if I would be able to get it to run FO4, if I shut down non-essential processes and dumb down my settings.
AGreatWeight
I'd hazard a guess that they should be able to use the CK with those specs; they've definitely enough ram with 8gigs and a 3.1ghz processor should be fine. Obviously the GT 520 is underpowered, no idea if/how it will affect the preview pane. Only one way to find out.
chucksteel
I run a fairly under powered video card myself the game plays at about 30 FPS on low settings. (some obvious drops even down to 1 FPS downtown but it normally only last for a few sec until the game catches up.) and other then long load times for worldspace cells the Ckit works fine. I've found if I turn the Grids to load to 2 or 3 instead of 5, it actually works well. The only issue is not being able to use the landscape editor. Edit: my card is only a Radion 5770 HD with 1gb video ram.
SharraShimada
I run F04 with a GTS 450 on 1600x900 at 30fps and loads of mods. You should optimize the game with http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/102/? , and use enb-boost, and FO4 should run well. Not at peak performance, not with 4k-graphic-mods, but, within those limits, very well.
