MDXX
Does this just allow you to have more mods and less CTD errors or will this allow individual mods to do more stuff since you can access more ram Hm not sure how to word this. Novem99
I'm not sure if the Remaster will break the 255 plugin (not mods!) limit but yes the game should be more stable and some modders like the TES Renewal team already said the 64bit version will allow them to implement much more stuff. Deleted3897072User
YesYes to both? You will have more memory available for mods, so you can have bigger and more complex mods, and more of them, without having to worry about CTD from exceeding 3.2GB. What does 255 plugin mean? Plugins (.esm and .esp files) are indexed according to your load order when you load the game. But the index numbers are held in a single byte, which means they can't go above 255 (2^8 -1). This limits the number of mods that you can load at once. Zero is always Skyrim.esm (you've got to have that) and 255 is reserved for the game save you load, so there are only 254 index slots available for mods. People who want to use more mods than this get round it by merging esp files together.
Project579
64-bit might not help with stability remember that the script engine is always the same.
Jawsuleashed
Scripting might still be limited, just like for Fallout 4, but we'll be able to push the game to support 4k parralaxed textures everywhere with high poly mesh and add a lot of NPC/ structures. Novem99
but we'll be able to push the game to support 4k parralaxed textures everywhere with high poly mesh That is already possible.
