Another great mod that ports over to SSE with minimal difficulty is Ebonvale, the trading village near Riverwood. You do have to unpack the old .BSA file -- I left the contents as loose files in the data directory and didn't try making a new .BSA -- but it does work quite nicely.

If anyone wants to know if a mod from oldrim will work in SSE. There is a program called SSETranslator. This program is mainly a translator, but a side effect is that when any esp\esm is loaded by it. If that esp\esm is for oldrim not SSE then a pop up window will be seen telling you it's for oldrim. Which means it probably won't work in SSE.

For textures use: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/2444/?

Textures and meshes are what have the most issues. That's because of a format change made by Bethesda. Which is using same format they used in FO4.

any hair color mods that work? I tried some of them and first they worked but now it stopped working, so does anyone know which color hair mod work?

Use http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/6923/? and if it is a custom race then use the patcher version it all works fine have been using it myself for a while.

 

Skin/hair/makeup etc all works as it should, is an old mod from pre skse it got abandoned to merge into "showracemenu" but the colour palettes etc all work :)
