Moksha8088
When I go to Skyrim SE at Steam under my account, I click on it and it takes me to a screen with then install button. When I click on it after agreeing to the EULA, it says unable to download because of file priveledges. How can I fix that? Using Windows 10. Not sure if missing file privileges is the same as administrator privilege. Seems like they would reserve administrator privileges for the Steam IT department. Also, the message said missing file privileges from the steam side, rather than a computer side message. The trouble with asking the question of Steam is that they only do scripted responses and this is one regarding missing file privileges is not a listed question. I am hoping someone here knows what that is about.
saurusmaximus
Playing devil's advocate here; are you sure it isn't a permissions issue on your side? I have noticed Win 10 is a lot more particular about that kind of thing vs. Win 7/8.
Moksha8088
My son texted me the answer. He told me to shut Steam down, then restart it. After that, I was able to download and install it without any further issues. The new NMM recognized it and I am good to go. Otherwise, thanks for the guesses. I suspect there will be a further learning curve ahead for me with this special edition.
