I used NMM to load mods to Skyrim SE but they do not load. The only mods that I have been able to load are those that are available for download from Bethesda.net.

The mods from Nexus go into a do loop and the game does not start nor does it load the mods. When I go to the mod feature in the game, it shows the Nexus mods trying to load but they do not load and the game never starts.

yep... same here....so. now what?.....for me skyrim isn't worth playing without mods.. not just the ones Bethesda wants... but the ones I want !! that's the reason for the interest in games in general ....so I can do what I want.... not to be funneled into a prescript-ed little exercise that someone else dreamed up and it's Ironclad!!!!

so even though LOOT shows them, but no check marks and only says I have 5 active. I also have no Load Mods option on the Launcher. Now I decided to load the game up anyways. On the main screen, you can go to mods. Now this is where you log into Bethesda.net. Now I dont use that, but I did notice that there was another option in there called Mod Order, or something like that. When I go in there, it shows all my esp's and everything as active and with a check mark. I can also confirm, despite LOOT saying they aren't activated, mine however are. I was kinda going off of LOOT not showing them as active. See if that helps you guys and let me know.

I uset MO for skyrim, but want to use NMM for SE, Only MO is trying to download the mods, not NMM any help in getting NMM to at least try to download the files???

Thanks in advance

You need to have NMM rescan all of your games. When it's done, click the red "x" next to (original) Skyrim, so MO will still handle that, and click the green check mark for everything else, including Skyrim SE. After that, you may have to tell MO you want it to handle your regular Skyrim files (I think they're called "xmt" files or something like that, I'm not at home right now).

As to the other comments, I d/l the updated NMM this morning and promptly downloaded and installed mods for SE without any issue, so maybe try reinstalling NMM?

So like I said, even though the non stable version of LOOT I was using said they were inactive, in-game said otherwise, and now with a more current unstable version of LOOT, LOOT now shows all plug-ins as active and all is working correctly-ish.
