There is another one, the SHIP you go on for the DB mission to kill some guy, lol Forgot the name... I wish someone would Re Vamp the whole House Buying thing in general. I hate the whole "Here is 10K", now I own a house thing... She just wanted a way to screw over Mercer. Next we have is why Gulum-ei still has the deed is because he is technically owner because Karliah doesn't want it at all. So The lizard gets the deed as a deal to try and screw over the thieves guild. So when the deed gets handed over to the player. The player should own the house. Possession is 9/10's the law here and also the buyer was anonymous. So it could be ANYONE who bought it using Gulum-ei as a intermediary. Now what I would like to see with the Goldenglow estate is a few things to add depth. Maven will obviously try and negotiate through the thieves guild. If that fails she can already use her dark brotherhood contacts and if that fails she has Sibbi or Ingun. Seriously what better way back then to cement an alliance or partnership than marriage. Back then that was how things were done. I can see both children not wanting this at the start but if the character is middle management thieves guild. (by the time you get the deed) (and if he is a member of the dark brotherhood then the dark brotherhood assassins shouldn't come.) (arch-mage of winterhold or Thane of Riften or The Harbinger it should be noted and should probably be somewhat impressed.) So like Maven will say something like my contacts in the dark brotherhood state he is the highest possible rank if not one of the highest. Or he is believed to be an Arch-Magus at the tower. Or He is held in high regard as a Thane of Riften. Being a thane of Riften means that if married she has even more political pressure she can apply to the jarl as well Marriages cement alliances. Basically Maven should be a part of the mod. She could be an enemy or an ally but Goldenglow and Black Briar meade go hand in hand. It shouldn't be as simple as poof I own it. Now no one does a thing. One that is very immersion breaking that nothing happens to the estate. Or no one cares that there is a new owner and who that new owner is.
