stuck on title screen when trying to start a new game

I dont know what started this but for some reason i cannot start a new game when I click on new game.
here is my load order
GameMode=SkyrimSE

Skyrim.esm=1
Update.esm=1
Dawnguard.esm=1
Dragonborn.esm=1
HearthFires.esm=1
Alternate Start - Live Another Life.esp=1
Immersive Sounds - Compendium.esp=1
The Paarthurnax Dilemma.esp=1
Point The Way.esp=1
ethereal_elven_overhaul.esp=1
Chesko_LoreBasedLoadingScreens.esp=0
CriticalCorrection.esp=1
Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch.esp=1
Cutting Room Floor.esp=1
I disabled lore based loading screens in case it's causing conflicts.
I am also using the Achievement mods enabler but when I tried removing that it did not fix the issue.

I considered posting this in mod troubleshooting but something tells me this is not a mod related issue.

I just wanna play skyrim.

Try manually sorting your mods with NMM, for pity sake look where USSEP is.

 

• 01: Your ESM Files;
• 02: Bug-Fix type Mods (USSEP)
• 03: Game Structure and/or UI Mods:
• 04: Character Appearance Mods (For NPCs and Self);
• 05: Mods that Add and/or Change Locations; *
• 06: Mods that Add and/or Change Items;
• 07: Mods that Add NPCs;
• 08: Texture Mods;
• 09: Environmental Mods (things like Climates of Tamriel, Sounds of Skyrim, etc.);
• 10: Mods with Gameplay Changes; Then,
• 11: Reproccers, AV, and Bashed Patches.

& the Rest! Get to it.

I'm afraid I have no idea what any of those words mean. I'm new to modding.

If you would be kind enough to explain it as if you were speaking to a child, that would be much appreciated.

It adjusting or moving mods plugins up or down on the load order accord to the descriptions I gave.

 

1. Skyrim.esm=1
2. Update.esm=1

7. Cutting Room Floor.esp=1

12. the rest that needs sorting

now compare that to his list for started, he even has the Game ESM in wrong order!

 

also USSEP is Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch

 

You use the Nexus Mod Manager "Plugins Tab" to to do this (NMM)

Had the same thing happen to me. Its because you have "Alternate Start" at the top of your load order. Set it to the bottom

This has also been happening tome except i have no mods installed
